The bidding for the territory and property of the "Askia" market in Tashkent has concluded, with a Chinese construction company emerging as the buyer, according to E-auksion data.

The Chinese construction firm Sheng-Ke International won the auction for the investment project aimed at constructing a modern "Eco-Market," a trade-service complex with a parking area on the grounds of the "Askia" market. The auction took place on December 20 and concluded with a bid of 225.59 billion sums.

The buyer commits not only to maintain the market's operations but also to undertake its reconstruction, which includes building an eco-market covering at least 3,000 square meters, creating a refrigeration storage facility of 1,200 square meters, and establishing an underground parking lot for 400 vehicles.

All construction work must be carried out without interrupting the market's operations. After the reconstruction, the agricultural products market will be relocated to the new eco-market's premises.
