Timur Ishmetov has been nominated for the position of head of the Central Bank.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has proposed the candidacy of Timur Ishmetov, the first deputy advisor to the president on economic issues, for the position of chairman of the Central Bank.

Previously, we reported that the chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Mamarizo Nurmuratov, has resigned.
