In Andijan, the school principal physically assaulted students.

On November 1, a video surfaced on social media from the Andijan region, showing a school employee physically assaulting children. The situation was responded to by the children's ombudsman.

The incident took place at School No. 38 in the Altynkul district, where the school principal took turns hitting eighth-grade students because one of the pupils detonated a firecracker in the classroom.

A working group from the Education Department and the district's Internal Affairs Directorate is investigating the situation. An inquiry is underway.
