Citizens were apprehended while attempting to sell their son, born in 2021, for 3 million sums. This was reported by the "Millar" program.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the detainees were not officially married.

The case was heard in the Jizzakh City Court for Criminal Cases, where a verdict was issued. The man was found guilty under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (human trafficking) and sentenced to 8 years of imprisonment. The child's mother was also found guilty under Article 135 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, with the application of Article 57 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, and sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.
