The cost of customs clearance for electric vehicles has increased in Uzbekistan, reports Avtostrada.
Starting from November 1, it has become more complicated and costly for private dealers to import electric vehicles: now each car must undergo mandatory testing at the testing ground in Pskent.
The cost of the import certificate has risen 3.5 times, amounting to 9.1 million sums.
These new measures complicate imports for European countries, as they receive a return certificate for each vehicle brought in, which can extend the process by several weeks.
This particularly hinders the import of Chinese electric vehicles, since purchasing state vehicles is now easier and cheaper than through European dealers.
