A new international university will be established in Uzbekistan in collaboration with Japan. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
The Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov, and the President of the Association of National Universities of Japan, Tsukuba University Rector Kyosuke Nagao, reached an agreement to create the new university during a meeting with the Japanese delegation in Tashkent on October 28.
The parties decided to form a joint working group to develop the necessary technical and economic justifications for the establishment of the new university.
