In Yangiyul, an organization caused 273.8 billion sums in environmental damage through sand and gravel extraction.

The Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, in collaboration with law enforcement agencies, conducted a new environmental raid in the Yangiyul district of the Tashkent region, as reported by the department's press service.

During the raid, illegal extraction of sand and gravel mix by a legal entity was halted in the river Chirchik's coastal zone, which runs through the "Samarkand" mahalla. The damage inflicted on nature amounted to 273.8 billion sums.

This organization had previously been warned and held accountable, the Ministry of Ecology emphasized.

All collected documents related to the case were handed over to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
