Last week, in his Telegram channel, Rasul Kusherbaev, an advisor to the head of the Ministry of Ecology of Uzbekistan, stated that society, whose men are "weaklings," faces a multitude of nursing homes. He urged men not to entrust the role of the family head to women, warning that otherwise "the child in the family will forget that he is a child, and the woman will forget that she is a mother and a submissive wife to her husband." Later, the official declared that if his opinion contradicts gender equality, he "doesn't care about that gender equality."

For instance, Nikita Makarenko mentioned in his Telegram channel that he is not surprised by such behavior from an official who previously labeled those reporting traffic violations as snitches.

"A thug is a thug," he concluded.

The woman fears that the advisor's words may restrict women's legal rights to freedom of movement and education in Uzbekistan.

"Well, we will monitor whether the law works equally in our country or if it can be disregarded, to use Kusherbaev's own language. We promise to keep you updated. Ministry of Internal Affairs, what else do you need?" – they write in the project with a hashtag demanding justice.
