Salary increases for medical professionals and expanded government insurance were key topics discussed at the president's healthcare meeting.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, in 2025, a budget of 41 trillion sums is expected to be allocated for healthcare. This represents an increase of 5 trillion sums compared to the budget allocated for this sector in the current year.

These funds will be used to create and equip new hospitals, expand existing capacities, and increase the coverage of preventive examinations. This was discussed today at a meeting with the president.

The head of state emphasized that the primary objective in this area is to improve the quality of healthcare at the primary level. It was noted that Turkish experts conducted research in six regions. This will enable the development of proposals for a systemic reform of primary healthcare services. Responsible officials have been tasked with thoroughly analyzing the situation and preparing a resolution for the transformation of the primary healthcare sector.

Next year, the salaries of medical workers will also be increased. A system for providing bonuses based on performance indicators will be introduced for family doctors.

Pilot projects for state medical insurance will be implemented in Karakalpakstan, as well as in the Navoi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, and Kashkadarya regions.
