In Tashkent, a proposal has been made to establish round-the-clock public transport and enhance nighttime lighting.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – Podrobno.uz. The Agency for Strategic Reforms of Uzbekistan has announced plans to develop the country's nighttime economy, drawing inspiration from the experiences of countries such as the United Kingdom, Thailand, the United States, the UAE, and Australia. These initiatives aim to boost tourism, generate jobs, and strengthen the domestic market.
В Ташкенте предложили организовать круглосуточный общественный транспорт и улучшить освещение в ночное время.

According to the agency, in 2023, the contribution of the night economy to London’s GDP was $44 billion, New York’s was $35 billion, and Dubai’s was $29 billion.

Uzbekistan can adapt their successful practices to enhance its economic efficiency. Tashkent already has two 24-hour food streets, with plans to open eight more. The mayors have been given the authority to establish zones with unrestricted operating hours to attract tourists.

In addition, a series of measures have been proposed: to launch round-the-clock public transport, extend the working hours of museums, galleries, and sports facilities, create an online platform called "Night Tashkent," and improve street lighting and infrastructure development.

The agency has also proposed the formation of a working group to implement these initiatives starting in February 2025.
