Everything is legal. The State Service Development Agency has defended the mayor of Tashkent's Yashnabad district, who awarded himself a bonus.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to the AN Podrobno.uz. The State Service Development Agency has responded to reports that the mayor of the Yashnabad district in Tashkent awarded himself nearly 62 million sums as a bonus. The agency stated that the head of the district administration received the award legally.

It has been reported that Rahmankulov secured second place in the "Most Initiative Sector" competition. As per the law, he is entitled to a monetary reward for this achievement. Funds were allocated based on the decision of the Kengash of People's Deputies of the Yashnabad District dated October 23, sourced from additional local budget resources.

From the total amount of 61.9 million soums, 12.4 million soums were deducted for the unified social tax and 5.9 million soums for income tax. Consequently, the hokim received a net amount of 43.6 million soums.

The competition is held in accordance with the government resolution dated August 23, 2021. The Agency for Civil Service Development assesses the effectiveness of officials' activities across various sectors and identifies winners who are awarded prizes of 200 BRW for first place, 150 BRW for second, and 100 BRW for third.

It is noteworthy that today, 150 BRW amounts to 56.2 million soums.
