Approximately 30 websites have been blocked in Uzbekistan due to advertising related to betting.

Uzbekistan, Tashkent – According to AN Podrobno.uz, approximately 30 websites in Uzbekistan have been banned for advertising betting services, reports a correspondent from Podrobno.uz.

According to the press service of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection, the antimonopoly authority is continuously studying and analyzing websites related to the promotion of gambling and risky games, taking measures to restrict access to such resources.

Additionally, in order to take prompt action against violations of advertising legislation, cooperation has been established with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications (AIMC).

As a result of the joint efforts with AIMC, proposals have been made to block 42 websites promoting betting services, of which approximately 30 have been blocked in the established manner.

As a reminder, an accountant from Samarkand embezzled over 6 billion sums from the company and lost it in online gambling.
