From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you and the entire united multinational team of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of this large production facility – a pride of Uzbekistan's industry.
Dear friends!
From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you and the entire united multinational team of the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of this large production facility – a pride of Uzbekistan's industry.
Thanks to the selfless work of highly qualified miners, specialists, workers, and employees, this multi-industry complex, which has gained worldwide fame through its glorious traditions, makes a significant contribution to enhancing the economic strength of our country and the well-being of its people.
In recent years, to implement priority tasks for the effective use of existing natural resource reserves and the development of national industry based on advanced technologies, large-scale modernization has been carried out at the complex.
At the sites of "Kalmakir," "Angren," "Chadak," "Khandiza," and the newly opened "Yoshlik–1" deposit, six enterprises for deep processing of raw materials, five concentration plants, and copper and zinc smelting plants have been built, along with production infrastructure facilities.
We all take pride in the fact that as a result of such important transformations, the complex holds a worthy position among the thirty largest copper production complexes in the world.
Currently, the construction of the third copper concentration plant with a processing capacity of 60 million tons of ore per year is nearing completion. Recently, during a visit to Almalyk, we together initiated the construction of the fourth copper concentration plant with the same capacity. After these facilities are put into operation, the complex will be able to process 160 million tons of raw materials annually. This is a record figure in the history of Uzbekistan's industry.
It is worth noting that this will create thousands of new jobs for residents of the Tashkent region. All of this is a concrete result of our systematic work on developing key industries and more fully utilizing the potential of the regions.
Dear compatriots!
As you know, we attach great importance to attracting significant investments for the development of natural resources and preparing highly qualified personnel for the industrial sector.
In this regard, we have high hopes for the Engineering School established within the complex, which operates based on advanced experience, particularly dual education programs. It is also important to highlight the substantial contribution of the Almalyk branches of the Tashkent State Technical University and the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys in accomplishing these tasks. We will continue to strengthen the material and technical base and the educational-methodological resources of these universities.
In ensuring the vital interests of individuals, serious attention is given to stimulating the hard work of the complex's workers and employees, as well as improving their working and resting conditions.
In the future, this work will certainly be elevated to a new level.
Taking this opportunity, I sincerely congratulate and wish further success to the group of workers and employees of the complex who have been awarded high honors from the Motherland in connection with today's celebration.
Esteemed participants of the celebration!
I wish you even greater achievements in strengthening the role and significance of such a leading industrial enterprise as the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex in building a New Uzbekistan – a state with a strong economy that is becoming an important and integral part of global production.
Once again, I congratulate you on this significant date in the life of the complex, which has a glorious past and a bright future, and I wish you all new labor victories, good health, and prosperity for your families.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev,
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
