Information about plans in the automotive industry has been presented.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has been briefed on the ongoing work in the automotive industry and the plans for 2025.
The share of the automotive industry in the country's economy is 10 percent. Over the past ten months, 338 thousand passenger cars have been produced. Components of 1,400 types have been localized. Thanks to economic measures, production costs in the sector have decreased by 4 percent. Exports amounted to 455 million dollars.
The chairman of "Uzavtosanoat" joint-stock company presented information about the plans and objectives for the future.
Next year, it is planned to produce 450 thousand cars and increase exports to 700 million dollars. There are plans to strengthen cooperation with regional enterprises and enhance localization. Specifically, 63 projects worth 325 million dollars will be implemented to establish the production of 700 components.
As is known, a factory for electric vehicles has been built in Jizzakh in collaboration with "BYD." Currently, vehicles such as Chazor and Song Plus Champion are being produced there. In the coming years, an expansion of the model range is planned. In the second phase, with an investment of 300 million dollars, the annual production of electric vehicles is expected to reach 200 thousand, and in the third phase - 500 thousand.
The head of our state has given instructions to coordinate with Chinese partners for the construction of additional capacities and the gradual establishment of production for components and spare parts for electric vehicles.
The task has been set to formulate orders for domestic enterprises based on cooperation.
