The president reviewed the operations of a joint venture in the chemical industry.

This region, with its developed industry, plays a crucial role in our country's economy. In recent years, the number of new enterprises has been increasing due to economic and investment opportunities.

The head of our state familiarized himself with the activities of the joint venture "Uzbekistan Hydrogen Peroxide" in the city of Navoi.

Hydrogen peroxide is widely used by various enterprises. In total, the annual demand for this chemical compound in our country's industries averages over 15 thousand tons. This in-demand product is produced at the joint venture "Uzbekistan Hydrogen Peroxide," which began operations this year.

As part of the project, which costs around 30 million dollars, a factory was built and modern equipment from China, India, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and Sweden was installed. Approximately 80 people are employed at the facility. The enterprise is capable of producing 30 thousand tons of hydrogen peroxide annually.

This compound is utilized in chemical, metallurgical, electrical engineering, pharmaceutical, textile, food, agricultural, and other sectors. In particular, it is actively used in paper production, household and chemical products, and in the extraction of uranium and cobalt. It is also used as a packaging cleaner and a bleaching agent for artificial and synthetic fibers.

Importantly, the economic efficiency is high. Here, natural gas will be deeply processed and turned into a market product. For example, a 60% hydrogen peroxide solution creates three times more added value in medicine and twice as much in household chemicals.

The laboratory of the enterprise is equipped with the most modern technology. Analyses are conducted hourly, which is crucial for continuous quality control of the products.

The head of state reviewed the technological process at the enterprise and conversed with specialists.

– The goal of each project is high income and the creation of added value. In this context, this enterprise holds particular significance. Now, to ensure production stability and increase customer trust, reliable raw material supplies need to be guaranteed. Within the framework of the localization program, preferential lending can be considered, - noted Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Responsible officials have been tasked with increasing the number of such projects based on this enterprise and supporting entrepreneurs.

Until now, hydrogen peroxide was imported into Uzbekistan from abroad at great expense. Now, domestic production will completely cover internal demand and even replace imports. Furthermore, there are no analogs of this enterprise in the region.

Half of the produced volume is supplied to the domestic market, while the remaining part is exported to CIS countries and Europe. In a short time, exports of nearly 1.5 million dollars have been realized. The enterprise's annual export potential is 10 million dollars.

For the storage and delivery of these liquid chemical products, the production of plastic molded containers has been established on-site. Solar panels with a capacity of 27 kilowatts have been installed to provide alternative energy for the enterprise.

It is noteworthy that there was previously no private sector in our country's chemical industry. This enterprise is one of the entrepreneurial entities that have entered the field in recent years.

In particular, in collaboration with the Turkish company "Orbak Metal Industry," there are plans to increase hydrogen peroxide production capacity to 45 thousand tons and to organize a food industry project on the adjacent territory.
