The president reviewed the progress of the construction of the new town.
During his visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the progress of the initial phase of construction for the New Navoi town.

– Today, we have come here to seek answers regarding the future of the eight districts and three cities of the Navoi region. Fortunately, our population is approaching 38 million. We need to establish a solid foundation for our people. Why are we building these new towns? Because a young generation is growing up. We will create conditions in every region so that young people can work and live with dignity in the places where they were born, - said the President.
For the project's implementation, 1,100 hectares of land were allocated from the Karmana district to the city of Navoi. In the first phase, the plan is to develop 450 hectares.
The town will feature residential buildings ranging from 7 to 22 stories, general educational schools with a capacity of 4,170 students, kindergartens for 1,620 children, and a polyclinic. It will also include the "Yangi Uzbekistan" park and a new campus for the Navoi State Pedagogical Institute.
The President noted that despite the well-developed industry in the Navoi region, the potential in the service sector has not yet been fully utilized. Therefore, the town will include park areas, entertainment centers, shops, and dining establishments.
The construction of the town will be overseen by the project management team. Land plots will be offered at electronic auctions, and investment contracts will be signed with the winning construction companies.
