President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Khushnud neighborhood in the Yangihayot district, where he learned about the local residents' lives and the ongoing changes.
The neighborhood is new, established in 2021. More than 11,000 people live in 48 apartment buildings and 625 households. Facilities include a kindergarten, a sports school, a family clinic, a private clinic, production enterprises, shops, and service points. This year, 116 citizens have been employed through 49 micro-projects.
Previously, these areas were peripheral and unattractive. Since 2018, modern houses and children's play and sports areas have been constructed. The surrounding area has been improved.
This year, a three-story building for the neighborhood was constructed. The first floor houses the offices of the chairman and neighborhood staff, a library, and a Jadid corner. The upper floors feature a center for exact sciences and foreign languages, as well as a fitness room. A mono-center for youth career orientation has also been established.
The head of state reviewed the created conditions and conversed with neighborhood activists and elders. They reported that in recent years, the Yangihayot district has undergone rapid changes, with new transport facilities and enterprises built, revitalizing all sectors.
- The goal of our visit today is to see the results of the decisions we have made and the lives of the people. Just like in this district, we strive to develop each region, create conveniences for people, and increase the number of jobs. At the same time, we pay great attention to education and upbringing, as well as culture. If knowledge and spirituality are strong, the economy will flourish, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The president also examined the activities of a private kindergarten with 150 places in the neighborhood, which has been equipped with modern facilities. It is located on the first and second floors of a 16-story building that was commissioned this year. Special attention was paid to harmoniously combining modernity with national traditions in the institution's facilities.
Many women with small children live in the neighborhood. Jobs are being created for them in nearby areas in sectors such as sewing and confectionery production. This kindergarten has greatly eased their burdens. They will be able to work peacefully and contribute additional income to their families.
It was noted that significant programs in our country are implemented specifically in neighborhoods, where the system is granted substantial powers and opportunities. It was emphasized that this work reflects in the beautification of neighborhoods and the enhancement of the population's well-being.
