As part of the BRICS summit program in Kazan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Minh Chinh.
The development of multifaceted Uzbek-Vietnamese cooperation and practical interaction was discussed, particularly in the trade, economic, and investment sectors.
The importance of establishing systematic intergovernmental and interagency contacts was emphasized. The parties advocated for holding the next meeting of the Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Issues at the beginning of next year, as well as a business forum and industrial exhibition in Hanoi.
To promote new projects, it was proposed to prepare a program for the development of industrial cooperation in areas such as petrochemicals, electrical engineering, textiles, agriculture, and other sectors. Special attention was given to enhancing business and tourism exchanges, including the establishment of a visa-free regime.
The schedule for upcoming high-level contacts was discussed. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh invited the President of Uzbekistan to visit Vietnam on an official trip.
