The relevant tasks were established during the video conference held on June 10. Today, responsible officials reported on the work completed in fulfillment of these tasks and preparations for the autumn-winter season.

It was noted that gas supplies are being delivered in volumes appropriate to the growing demand from the population and various sectors of the economy. As a result of modernization efforts and increased energy efficiency, losses have decreased. For instance, in recent years, gas consumption for industrial production has reduced by 1.6 times.

There is still much work ahead. It is essential to ensure a stable energy supply for the population during the current season and in the years to come, preparing a sufficient reserve for this purpose.

These issues were discussed in the context of different sectors during the meeting.

According to calculations, this winter season, 21 billion cubic meters of gas will be supplied to consumers. If the temperature drops sharply, the demand from the population will increase even further. Responsible officials presented a month-by-month action plan for such a scenario, broken down by districts.

A separate reserve has been allocated to ensure uninterrupted energy supply for social institutions and enterprises. A system for targeted gas supply to thermal power plants, chemical and metallurgical enterprises, as well as gas filling stations has been established.

It was emphasized that it is crucial to decisively continue the initiated work on gas accounting and control across sectors and to further reduce losses. The task has been set to implement identified opportunities for gas savings in Andijan, Navoi, and Tashkent regions, as well as in other areas.

The head of state instructed responsible officials to organize work at the district and mahalla levels, addressing energy supply issues directly on-site, coordinating demand and consumption, and preventing interruptions.

The meeting also addressed the transformation processes within the gas sector. It was determined that sector enterprises will enter the international financial market and independently attract funds for modernization.

Digitalization and public-private partnerships open up significant opportunities for the renewal and regulation of gas supply networks. In this regard, proposals for attracting private operators to the sector were discussed.

The president instructed to reduce production costs across each sector and enterprise, optimize expenditures, and expedite the transformation process. The importance of expanding geological exploration activities with the involvement of leading foreign companies was emphasized.
