Issues related to ensuring food security have been addressed.

The annual population growth of nearly one million people occurs against the backdrop of limited land and water resources. Therefore, stability in the domestic market can only be achieved through the rational use of resources and increased productivity.

The Minister of Agriculture presented plans for the upcoming year. Agricultural crops are set to be planted over an area of 4.8 million hectares, with more than 2 million hectares dedicated to potatoes, vegetables, legumes, and melons. Monitoring of sown areas and harvest reservation will be established.

Special attention is being given to the creation of an accounting system for 10 main types of food products. This system will allow tracking which products are grown and in what volumes they are reserved for the domestic market.

At the initiative of the President, 260 thousand hectares of land have been allocated to 800 thousand citizens for independent cultivation. The successful experience of the Saykhunabad district has proven the effectiveness of this approach in creating jobs and increasing the income of the population, particularly among the youth. This method has also contributed to an increase in agricultural production, stabilizing food prices.

The President emphasized the need for further improvement in operations: the effective use of allocated lands, providing scientific and practical assistance to farmers, attracting grants, and implementing advanced technologies in the agricultural sector.

The head of state instructed to study global practices and enhance the potato cultivation system, focusing on the selection of varieties and increasing yield.

Last year, 9 thousand hectares of orchards and 4 thousand hectares of vineyards were affected by frost, resulting in a loss of 207 thousand tons of harvest. In response, a draft law on "Insurance of Agricultural Risks" was developed to provide economic protection for farmers against natural disasters.

The effectiveness of using foreign cotton varieties was discussed separately. The President instructed clusters, farmers, and enterprises to select the most suitable varieties and to train agrarians in modern technologies. Guidelines were issued for the production of small-scale agricultural machinery and cotton harvesting machines.

As part of the "Green Space" program, forest areas are actively being created in the regions. The President proposed using the territories around these forests and farmland for growing food crops.

Suggestions for reforming the management system of agriculture at the regional and district levels were also discussed. The head of state emphasized the importance of a systematic approach and the implementation of new management solutions.
