President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has reviewed the project for an international tourist center that is planned to be built in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
With the expansion of international connections and the development of our country's infrastructure, the tourism potential is rapidly increasing. One of the most attractive tourism centers is undoubtedly the Bostanlyk district. Thanks to the Charvak Reservoir, rivers, snowy mountains, and picturesque forests, this location is perfect for relaxation at any time of the year.
In recent years, with continuous support from the government, numerous new complexes have been established in the Bostanlyk district, including the “Amirsay” and “Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai” resorts. Specifically, over the past five years, more than 2 trillion soums of investments have been attracted to the area, resulting in the commissioning of 59 new tourist facilities with 13,000 accommodations.
These achievements are drawing the attention of foreign investors and opening doors for the implementation of even larger projects. For instance, Azerbaijani entrepreneur Emin Agalarov and several other major investment companies have expressed their readiness to construct the international tourist center “Sea Breeze Uzbekistan” on the shores of the Charvak Reservoir.
According to the project, the center will include recreational areas, beaches, sports facilities, hotels, cottages, and residential complexes. Additionally, the opening of stores under international brands, restaurants, and service points is planned. Various festivals, concerts, and cultural events will be held here. For the convenience of visitors, a bridge will be built across the bay. In the long term, the center is expected to become a unique tourist hub where people can relax and live year-round.
The President supported this proposal, emphasizing the need for designing and phased construction of the center based on advanced international experience. Instructions were given to create a commission led by the Prime Minister and to develop the legal framework for implementing the project, as well as to assist in resolving infrastructure issues.
