The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the under-construction specialized industrial zone "Yangi Avlod" in the Yangihayot district of Tashkent.
В Янгихаёте открывается новая промышленная зона.

The area covering 764 hectares will become a crucial component of the region's economy. Currently, the necessary infrastructure is actively being constructed. As part of this project, 47 investment projects will be implemented, totaling $1.375 billion, spanning sectors such as food industry, building materials manufacturing, electrical engineering, machinery, and chemical products. These enterprises are expected to create around 12,000 new jobs.

The President highlighted that the enterprises within the zone will collaborate with leading international brands. Among them are companies like DP World, JAC Motors, Krantas, Acec Japan, East Can Solutions, EAS, and Evyap, which plan to produce high value-added products aimed at export.

The President was presented with specific projects being developed in the zone.

For instance, the Chinese company CAMC Engineering will take charge of managing the zone, attracting investors, and developing infrastructure. JAC Motors intends to establish production of commercial vehicles. This $135 million project will create 2,000 jobs.

Together with the Japanese company Acec Japan, the launch of office furniture and chair production is planned. This $9 million project will provide jobs for 100 people.

Collaboration with DP World from the United Arab Emirates will focus on creating a transport and logistics center.

Laboratories, research centers, conference rooms, and retail spaces will also be organized within the zone. The implementation of dual education will enable the training of specialists for industrial enterprises directly on-site.

“In recent years, our GDP has doubled, reaching $110 billion. Now our goal is to increase this figure to $200 billion. Without creating all conditions for investors and providing full support for projects, we will not achieve this result. Tashkent should become a model in this direction,” the President noted.

Responsible officials have been instructed to pay particular attention to localization, digitalization, and energy conservation in the implementation of projects.
