Over the past eight years, production volume has increased two hundred times.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed the products of domestic production under the brand "Universal Filter" in the industrial zone of Navoi city.
012More than 600 types of products are manufactured here, including air and oil filters for vehicles, as well as equipment for the metallurgy, oil and gas, and chemical industries.
The entrepreneur began his activities in 2007 by producing construction materials and implemented projects worth 20 million dollars from 2020 to 2023. Today, six production lines have been established on three hectares of land. Modern technologies were brought in and installed from countries such as Russia, China, and Slovakia.
Seven to eight years ago, the entrepreneur's turnover was only 1 billion sums. This year, production volume is expected to reach 200 billion sums. Importantly, the enterprise provides stable employment for 250 people.
The head of state got acquainted with the production processes and the products being manufactured.
In Uzbekistan, there are over 3,000 industrial enterprises that affect atmospheric air quality. Most of the dust and gas cleaning installations at these enterprises are outdated. Previously, this sector was entirely dependent on imports, which led to delays in filter updates for years. However, there is now the opportunity to produce competitive local products and provide services in this area. In the first nine months of this year, dust and gas cleaning equipment was modernized in more than a hundred enterprises.
This enterprise also contributes to this effort. Production volumes are growing annually. The localization of products has allowed for a reduction in costs without compromising quality.
The products of the enterprise are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan. By the end of this year, export volume is expected to reach 1 million dollars, with plans to further expand geography and supply volumes.
Industrial goods from the Navoi region were also showcased here, including parts and equipment for heavy and light industries, compressors, electrical devices, copper and plastic pipes, and pump components. All of these share a common feature — localization.
The President emphasized the importance of further developing hydropower in the country, giving instructions to increase the participation of local enterprises in the construction of small and micro hydropower plants and the production of their components. It was noted that through the implementation of localization projects for large enterprises such as the Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combinat, the unemployment rate in the region can be reduced.
