Upon arriving in Tashkent, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shahbaz Sharif, accompanied by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Aripov, visited the "New Uzbekistan" park.
The distinguished guest laid flowers at the foot of the Independence Monument.
During a brief tour of the complex, members of the Pakistani delegation were provided with detailed information about the images and historical events represented in the monument.
The main events of the visit are scheduled for tomorrow, February 26.
The agenda for the upcoming high-level negotiations includes issues related to the further development and expansion of Uzbek-Pakistani strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
There will be an exchange of views on current international and regional issues. Following the summit, a Joint Declaration and several bilateral documents are expected to be adopted.
