The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with a delegation from the Russian Federation led by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on February 28.
At the beginning of the meeting, the distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin, to the head of our state.
They discussed issues related to expanding mutually beneficial practical cooperation, particularly in the construction industry and territorial development, in the context of implementing agreements reached during the state visit of the Russian leader to Uzbekistan last May.
Special attention was given to enhancing comprehensive cooperation in the construction sector. This involves the participation of organizations and companies from both countries in the design and construction of infrastructure projects, as well as the supply of building materials and equipment within the framework of programs aimed at socio-economic development of the territories.
The importance of further experience exchange in the areas of shared construction, design, expertise, digitalization, and conducting public procurement was emphasized.
